Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use Osdire.
Every project is unique, and Osdire gives you flexibility to tailor your freelancer’s work to match your goals. You’ll see this through two features: Extras, which add built-in value to an Offer, and Custom Extras, which allow you to expand or adjust an ongoing order when new needs arise.
Here’s how both work - and how to manage them with confidence.
Extras vs. Custom Extras
Feature | What it is | When you see it |
Extras | Services or benefits already included in the freelancer’s Offer, they make the Offer more valuable or comprehensive than others. | When browsing Offers or at checkout before confirming an order. |
Custom Extras | Optional, one-time paid additions proposed by the freelancer to meet your specific needs during an ongoing project. | During an active order. |
Think of Extras as built-in or pre-order upgrades, and Custom Extras as tailored adjustments during a project.
Viewing Extras when choosing an Offer
When you browse Offers on Osdire, you’ll notice that some Offers come with highlighted Extras. These are additional benefits the freelancer includes by default.
Examples might include:
“Includes editable source files”
“Comes with commercial usage rights”
“Includes brand color palette & font suggestions”
“Free one-time post-delivery revision”
Extras help you evaluate overall value. They’re already part of the listed package price.
Use Extras as a quick way to compare freelancers offering similar services.
Adding Extras when placing an order
Beyond built-in extras, freelancers can also make optional Extras available at checkout — letting you customise your order before it starts.
For example, you might see:
“Add source files (+$15)”
“Include social media preview images (+$30)”
“Extra fast delivery – within 24 hours (+$25)”
You can select these add-on Extras when you place the order:
Review the Offer details and pricing.
Tick the Extras you want included in your order.
The total price and delivery timeline will automatically update to reflect your selection.
Proceed to checkout — everything is securely handled in one payment.
Optional Extras at checkout give you flexibility to get exactly what you need upfront — no later adjustments required.
Receiving a custom extra proposal
Sometimes, after a project begins, your scope may expand — for example, you may decide to request extra revisions, add new deliverables, or extend work beyond the original offer.
When that happens, your freelancer can propose a Custom Extra through the Osdire order page.
A Custom Extra includes:
A short title and description of what’s being added.
The additional cost (in USD).
Any change to the delivery time, if needed.
Example:
“Add 3 extra design revisions for $25 - adds 2 days to delivery.”
You’ll receive a clear in-platform notification and message on your order page.
Approving and paying for a Custom Extra
To accept and pay for a Custom Extra:
Open your order in My Orders → Active.
Review the Custom Extra’s details: description, cost, and delivery adjustment.
Click Approve & Pay.
Confirm payment through Osdire’s secure checkout.
Once approved and paid, the order automatically updates to reflect the new scope, price, and timeline.
All Custom Extra payments are handled securely through Osdire’s escrow system — ensuring fairness and transparency for both sides.
Declining a Custom Extra
You’re always in control. If you decide not to proceed with a proposed Custom Extra:
Click Decline, and your freelancer will be notified immediately.
The project continues as originally agreed.
It’s courteous to explain your reason briefly - clear communication keeps projects smooth and professional.
Custom Extras are optional - you’ll never be charged unless you approve them.
Payment, escrow & refunds
Once you approve and pay for a Custom Extra, the extra amount is added to your order total and held safely with us.
Funds are only released to the freelancer after you approve the final completed work.
If a dispute arises (for example, the extra work isn’t delivered as agreed), you can raise the issue through the Resolution Centre.
You’re fully protected — Osdire releases payments only when you confirm satisfaction.

Stay on-platform: Keep all communications and payments within Osdire to maintain payment protection.
Ask questions: Not sure what’s included? Ask your freelancer through the order chat before deciding.
