Finding Your Tasks

After beginning a task, you’ll find it under:

  • My Tasks → click Active for ongoing work.

  • Click Completed for finished tasks and approved deliveries.

  • You can choose to add tasks to Priority. Tasks that are due within 48 hours or are ordered with "extra-fast delivery" will be automatically moved to priority.

You will also see Delayed, Delivered and Cancelled tasks on your Project Management dashboard. Each task shows key details: buyer name, project type, due date, and status.

Understanding Task Statuses

Status

Meaning

Waiting to start

The buyer has placed the order, funds are held securely in escrow, and the requirement is needed for you to start the order. However, you can choose to start anyway if the buyer does not submit the requirements for a prolonged time, and you are confident about the buyer's expectations.

Active

You’re officially working on the task. Communicate regularly and share updates.

Priority

You have assigned a task to be your priority, or, a task is due for delivery in less than 48 hours.

Update Requested

Buyer has requested an update on how the task is going, especially when you have agreed checkpoints.

Delivered

You’ve submitted the final work for review. Await buyer feedback or revision requests.

Revision Requested

Buyer has reviewed the delivery, but wants some changes based on their feedback.

Late

When you miss your deadline. When it is more than 24 hours late, you will be "very late".

Completed

The buyer approved your delivery — payment will soon be released from escrow.

Cancelled

The project was stopped or refunded according to Osdire’s fair-use policy.

Delivering Your Work

  • Upload all deliverables as described in the initial agreement.

  • Include source files or extras if they are included in your Offer, or your agreement with the buyer.

  • Write a brief delivery note summarizing what’s included — clarity builds trust.

  • Click Deliver once everything is ready.

If the buyer requests revisions, review the notes carefully and re-deliver within the agreed timeframe.

Tip: Deliver the work that meets the agreement at full scope. Partial deliveries may delay payment.

Communicating Effectively

Use Osdire’s messaging system for all pre-order buyer interactions, and move to the order page for order-related discussions. It ensures professionalism and record keeping.

  • Ask clarifying questions early. You will be able to add any early discussion onto the task page for later reference.

  • Confirm details like file format or usage rights before delivering.

  • Keep tone polite and solution-oriented — it reflects your professionalism and strengthens your reputation.

Handling Cancellations or Disputes

If a project encounters issues:

  • Try to resolve concerns directly with the buyer first.

  • If the issue remains unresolved, turn to the resolution centre to formally raise the dispute, for the buyer to address within a time frame.

  • If a buyer raises a dispute, address it promptly and proactively, while maintaining open lines of communication.

  • If resolution centre fails to resolve the issue, contact Osdire Support with task ID, message history, and any related files.

Our team will evaluate all sides and mediate fairly — protecting both freelancer and buyer.

Tips for Successful Task Management

  • Clarify early. Understand expectations before you begin.

  • Communicate often. Regular check-ins show reliability – it is also good practice to agree on check-in times for project updates.

  • Deliver on time. Meeting deadlines improves visibility and ratings.

  • Stay on Osdire. Off-platform payments or discussions remove your protection and may breach policy.

  • Be transparent. If something changes (scope, delay, or files), inform the buyer quickly.

Payment

When you deliver work, the buyer reviews it before release. Funds stay in Osdire’s secure escrow system until acceptance.

Once approved:

  • Payment will go into a clearing period, which takes up to 14 days.

  • Payment is released to your Osdire balance after clearing.

  • You can withdraw it via your preferred payout method (Right now we support only Paypal).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I set milestones in my tasks?

We don't support milestone on our platform for now-- each offer is a single delivery phase. However, feel free to set check-in points with your buyer, and give them regular project update if possible.

What if the buyer doesn’t respond after delivery?

If no action is taken within 3 days, the system may automatically mark the order as Accepted, and your payment will be released.

Can I cancel a project if a buyer is unresponsive?

Raise it to the resolution centre — Your request will be automatically granted if the buyer does not respond within 48 hours.

How can I get paid safely?

Always complete work through Osdire. Payments outside the platform are not protected and may violate policy.
